RELEASING TOMORROW: VINTAGE BOX TRAINER 1

Throughout Nike’s endless back catalog of iconic silhouettes, ground-breaking technologies and marvelled innovations lie colorways and materials that have been relived and celebrated again countless times. Whether it’s the grey tones and neon green accents of the Air Max 95, the elephant print found on the Air Jordan III or the grey and chlorophyll green of the Trainer 1, we’ve seen a wide array of inspired-by colorways in recent times.
Taking things one step further, Nike Training will launch the Vintage Box Trainer 1 tomorrow in very limited numbers at Eastbay.com, Champs and at Nike retail. This Trainer 1 takes direct influence from the once forgotten vintage orange and grey Nike shoe box, featuring an all orange base reminiscent of the box. A rich suede, nubuck and ballistic mesh upper can be found in bright orange, with two-toned grey striping along the midsole.

They look decent, but too solid for me. So this is the head-sup in the SC training issue huh..
Just as a vintage sneaker fan, I love the concept. I’d never wear them, but they’re fun to look at.

Great concept, excellent execution of the colorway, but limited release
If these are truly as limited as the Training issue said it would be …. I’ll never get one lol. But these turned out to be not too bad. Good concept, pretty good execution, and the materials are looking nice. But I doubt I would ever actually rock these. I don’t really understand why they would make these so limited though …

AMAZING, just placed my order, gotta love this idea. especially if you were around for that vintage/classic, box that these are made after, will be a total classic. Will also be worth tons of cash in the years to follow! GET THEM NOIW THEY WILL BE GONE REAL SOON!
ordered a pair earlier. might get a 2nd pair to make sure I have them in good condition for a while. I love everything about them!

Mine have arrived and I LOVE THEM, might have to go after another pair. Shame about the lack of vintage box though.
These are nice shoes, but the box should have the vintage treatment as well
I pretty much agree. The use of a vintage box would have put these over the top.
I admit, didn’t like these at first, but the more I looked at them they are sweet, pretty sweet, I must say. A pretty cool concept, especially with the box.
