This forum is for anything related to music - reviews, discussion, news, etc. If its related to music, it probably belongs in here.
A couple of rules:
- No flaming - we will be very strict about this. Of course, everyone is passionate about music, but when it becomes personal, we have a problem. If you want to flame someone, by all means, go ahead - but do it in the Flamethrower forum. We'll be strict about this. The first time, you'll receive a warning. The second time, a suspension or ban. You can have a heated discussion, but don't make it personal.
- No filesharing links - please don't post links to download albums. If it is music that you made, and can share legally, go ahead and post it. But if someone can pay and get the same music, its not OK to post a link to it. Same rule as flaming - you'll get a warning on the first time, but we'll be strict about it. Second offenses may lead to a suspension or ban.
- All types of music - please, keep an open mind. We all like and listen to different things. The last thing we want is for someone to be cautious about posting something because other people might not enjoy it. Keep an open mind, and realize we all have different tastes.
- Only music - if you want to post about an MP3 player, put in in the lounge. This forum is for music only. If its news regarding an artist, post it in this forum. Just use common sense, and if you are not sure where to post it, just PM a Mod/Admin.
- Have fun - the most important rule of all.

We're going to start deleting/locking old threads in here. There's no reason that threads that are a couple months should be on the first page. We're also going to try to make "official" threads for topics that keep getting rehashed. We don't want to stifle discussion, but we also don't want to keep seeing the same threads over and over. I feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day everytime I enter this forum.
We also may start locking "RAPPER 1 vs. RAPPER 2" threads, since they go nowhere. It ends up being 7 pages of "RAPPER 1 ftw!!!!!!" or "raper twoz." That type of topic is useless and provides no foundation for debate and discussion. |
