WOot First....
ok there has to be enough people out there that somebody has played in their hyperdunks long enough to tell us if their lunar foam has held up. This is the real problem for me since cushioning is my number one priority wen i look for balling shoes. If u can also include your schedule of playing, intensity you play at (judged at your best estimate) and how many hours you play that'd be cool too. _________________ http://www.solecollector.com/forums/2001-bred-11-s-sz-10-as-close-to-ds-as-possible-t976254.html

Glad to see this thread back...I'm playing in pretty much everything out there so I'll try and answer everyone's questions when I can.
Regarding the Hyperdunks, I still LOVE the support and weight of the shoe and they're really great, but Lunar Foam's feel is gone after 5 wearings, so lean towards something else if you're hoping for more responsiveness. The upcoming Jumpman Elite, LeBron V, Zoom Kobe II (black/maize) and BB1 would all be good alternatives. The Kobe IV is the best upcoming shoe, but they have the same cushioning set-up as the Hyperdunk.
I play the 1-3 spots and at least 5 days a week for 2 hours each. I'm 6-3, 185 if that helps. _________________ TWITTER

I need some help choosing some new basketball shoes, my past 2 pairs have been the BB1s i absolutely love them, but i feel its time for me to get a new shoe, so i was wondering what would be a comparable shoe? i thought of the following:
-Adidas TS creator
-XX3
-Kobe IV
can anyone suggest/recommend a pair that is most like the BB1s? thanks in advance. _________________

i never had a pair of BB's but XX3 is the best shoe i have ever ballin(i also had 2K4,Lebron ii,LeBron V,Flightposite KG and XXI),other than the pinky toe problem,They are pretty much perfect, get the OL if you can(with regular leather) _________________ Lakers 2009 NBA CHAMPS. Zoom Lebron V low
These shoes really hurt my feet big time, I couldn't believe it. Before this, I have been wearing my Zoom Kobe I, and I love those shoes. Very light, zoom cushion, everything was great. Anyway, they are breaking down so I thought I'd give the lebrons a shot.
These Lebrons are so bad, at least for me. I mean, it's crazy. After playing in it for an hour, the arch of my foot was sore for the next two days. Also, I got a little blister on the inner side of my foot (really weird place for a blister, not like other shoes, where a blister usually appears on the balls of your feet). But man, it really hurt the arches of my feet.
The shoes is very stiff. That phyposite bucket or whatever it's called is not good to me. I've worn a lot of shoes and never experienced anything like this.
I can't wait to get another shoe. I always like the Kobe's, and the Huaraches and Hyperdunks are nice too (haven't tried hyperdunks yet, but everyone likes them). But I'm a little disappointed to hear about the short life of this Lunar Foam. I love Zoom, Zoom is the best by far. Hopefully, they go back to it or find a way to make Lunar Foam longer lasting.
By the way, I don't care at all about the looks of a shoe when I play, only performance. That's what these comments are based on.
What are other basketball players' experiences with the Lebron V? I'm very curious...maybe they need a very long break-in time, I'm not sure. But it really hurt my foot. |

I loved the hyperdunks, but they are NOT durable whatsoever. Depends what level you play, but if you play competitive ball, high school, college, etc. (I play high school) the durability is horrible. I am 6'3" about 190, play a 1-4 positions and pretty much all around offensive player. When I drive to the hole, I get really low, and the hyperdunks do not seem able to hold up. I have ripped 3 pairs so far. If you used them in a rotation, it might be a lot better. They are a very, very comfortable shoe though, probably one of the best Ive played in. I wish they were more durable.

good thing i didn't even cop one pair,Hyperdunks are pretty overrated IMO,the cushioning could not even hold up after 10 wear _________________ Lakers 2009 NBA CHAMPS. I KNOW HOW TRBO823's ASS TASTE. PM ME FOR DETAILS.

Thanks for the info 7jive7 and slowmotion138. I was thinking about taking the insole of my huarache 08's and switching with the hyperdunks if anything. Personally i wouldnt really care bout the hyperdunks but theres a pair of puerto ricos at my footlocker and they are just fire. But dam about jives hd's, thats OD. YOu must play crazy intense ball to do that. And 3 pairs?!?! That foam did look a little weak but wow, and is that blood? lol. Anyway i agree that hd's are pretty overrated but they just look crazy nice.
And i currently have lebron 4's, lebron 5's and penny 4's in my ballin rotation. the lebrons are crazy good in cushioning but kinda bulky, pennys not so much cusionoing or bulkiness but still ok. hd's just look good for that cutting slashing guard type and has that sleeker look than lebrons. _________________ http://www.solecollector.com/forums/2001-bred-11-s-sz-10-as-close-to-ds-as-possible-t976254.html
