Now I don't have any experience with insoles, because they usually make the shoe too unstable for me, but if you want the closest thing to the 4/5/6, you need insoles with some air cushioning. |
Hmm... well I just tried on my POP Soldier 3's with a pair of Air Max 180+ insoles my dad hasn't used... it actually feels thicker and higher with more support. Hopefully, I'll play in the court today to see how it goes. |

^I actually have a pair sz 11, way too big for me.
I also had a pair in 10.5, which was still slightly big. They were solid though, very comfortable, well made shoes.
Good traction, cushioning was okay, not as firm as zoom so some would call it mushy. But I liked it. |

for those of you who played in the KD1s, are they a good shoe for balling or just a good shoe for the price? i know most people on here hate em but i think theyre sweet looking. very simple almost similar to the ZK1's. i know they have zoom air in the forefoot only which isnt so bad. id rather have the zoom in the forefoot rather than in the heel only. ive been playing in HDs since they came out and i would prefer better cushioning up front. i have a couple of Q's. sizing, true/big/small? how do they play? are they responsive? traction? court feel? i heard they feel like zoom BB1s but i have never had a pair of those. i have the zoom BB2s, are they similar to those? are they comparable to anything else thats out on the market? the reason i ask is cause www.footlocker.com has em for $59.99 plus you can get an additional 25% off. $45 for some balling shoes seems like a great deal but i cant find them locally to try them out to see for myself. any info/feedback would be greatly appreciated. _________________ JORDANS & NIKES SZ 8.5

| AntiHype, are they super-stable like Prof. K said in the review? |

^ I replied to your PM.
In terms of stability, I would say so. I think it's actually difficult to have a shoe with poor stability. As long as the outsole is designed right, and fit and support are good, then stability should come along with that.
The Bromium III is build solidly, it feels like a pretty bulky shoe when you try it on. You really have to tie those laces down tight the way it's designed. But it is pretty stable. |

Just thought I'd let people know my opinion on what shoes are the best to play in...
Shox Stunner (It feels so secure around my ankle and makes me feel so quick)
Flightposite is cool because you can feel the hardwood (don't use outdoors!), but don't tie too tight (otherwise you'll know what plantar fascitis feels like)
Jordan XVIs have the best traction ever.
Jordan XV is horrible as they really can't be tied. Kukinis should never be ran in. Sucks, but og Bakins and MZ3s are too old now (as are og Jordan XI). Og Jordan XII are too heavy and hurt your ankle as there's no cushioning around your ankle. Flight Turbulence are too wide in the front. Pippen IV have great ankle support and traction.Question is too bulky, Answer is too low cut and DMX eventually fades (and I'm a lightweight:(). Flight '00 was the longest lasting "park-shoe" I had. I never saw the big deal about 2k4/hyperdunk.
I'm a 5'7" with 4% body fat combo guard btw on the lowest professional level, so that should give you an idea of what my needs are. _________________ VINTAGE 50 pairs for sale Max Force Basketball Jordan

XX's are GREAT for ball!
The transition is sweet and the non-translucent IPS pods have better traction, for me at least. (go with the Stealth) The Stealths are also nice to cause they're lighter with the patent. The QS version likely is the least breathable and heaviest.
The sphere lining is also incredibly plush and the strap feels odd at first but then begins to feel natural once you start moving around.
Definitely a great shoe that I'd recommend. I know several people who single it out as their favorite Air Jordan to play in.
The only downside for me was the strap's Velcro isn't all that dependable and can tend to fray the laces after awhile. It's somewhat of a nuisance to help tell the visual story, but it's still a great shoe regardless. _________________ FOLLOW SOLE COLLECTOR ON TWITTER

The XX's have an amazing cushioning system, by far the best use of IPS. I love the court feel.
But the straps are overkill and the traction can be iffy. I wouldn't wear them unless you're playing on a clean, CLEAN court. I saw a guy slipping and sliding in the QS colorway on a well maintained court, while everyone else was fine.
The thing that gets me is just the straps. They are a pain to put on and that midfoot strap starts to flap in the wind after a while. |

There will always be issues with certain shoes on certain courts from wat I experienced minus clean well maintained courts. But generally I feel the XX's ranks as a top 3 next to the XX3 and XIX SE's. _________________ He who looks in your eyes is likely honest.
