for those of you who use aftermarket insoles i got a question for you. whats your experience with sof soles? im using spenco soles but there isnt enough forefoot cushioning for me. the heel and arch are perfect but at the fore foot it turns very flimsy. i noticed on sof soles they have extra padding on the "balls of your feet" but the heel doesnt look as padded as the spenco brand. please give me your thoughts or some feedback. _________________ JORDANS & NIKES SZ 8.5

Sof Sole does make a good insole, but I find some of them to be too thick in the forefoot. In some shoes it tightens up the toebox way too much. I've had no issue with the heel cushioning though, has been fine. _________________ "Reasons - not rules - make us strong" |

No problem 7jive7. Like any insole, its a good idea to bring with you when you try on the shoe (or bring shoe and try on the insole in it ) before the purchase. I always take issue with any insole that drastically changes the fit of a shoe. _________________ "Reasons - not rules - make us strong" |

well im playing in hyperdunks with spenco soles outdoors and i got some forefoot pain probably due to the lunar foam cushioning bottoming out a while ago. when my sof soles come in ill put those in and see if it helps or maybe my foot is just jacked up. if the soles dont help ill just start playing in something else and turn my hyperdunks into grass cutters. _________________ JORDANS & NIKES SZ 8.5

Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster. I'm 5'10 160lbs. and I play point guard most of the time.
I play outdoors and since my Wade 2s have died on me, I'm in the market for a new shoe.
I need one that's pretty durable, and can last on the pavement. I've read that the ZKIV aren't durable and neither are the Hyperdunks, but I love the feel of the lightness. I'm also flat footed, so arch height is a concern.
Also, I would prefer a less roomy toebox, as there was too much movement in the Wade 2s and that led to some problems with my toes.
So with that in mind, please give me some recommendations.
Thanks for the help guys |

^Just for clarity, I got some flat footed friends who want a strong-arch for maximum support, and a I got some flat footed friends who prefer no arch for maximum freedom, in which category would you fall? _________________ TEAM SC EUROPA |

Well, the XII's are known for being really durable(although Nubuck will loose it's fresh look after a certain point, but that's just visual), so in that way, they're probably gonna give you most vallue for money, out of that upper price range IMO.
A couple of cheaper, but still very comfortable alternatives are, the Penny III's(not really a bigs, but somewhat similar to the XII's), if you can get the fit right, the Soldier III's, the Nike PowerMax, and IMO one of the most comfortable bigs shoes, the Reebok Omni Hex Ride. Also, not really a bigs shoe, but the Question's, or Answer IX's are great for big men too. _________________ TEAM SC EUROPA

I'd like to know too, but for indoor.
How is the traction and cushioning? I don't really care about ankle support cuz my daily ballers are AZF V's.. _________________

I think I'd fall into the freedom category, I hate something pressed up against my arches. |
