| Planning to buy a new pair after a year or so with my playing shoes. Besides Hyperdunks, what's a lightweight shoe thats out/coming out that would be good. At 5-8 135lbs playing pick-ups and scrimmages most of the time. Any suggestions as to what would be good? |

^ I'd get the Kobe IV's instead if you have a normal to narrow foot shape. (Forget it if you had wide feet or size up.) They fit and sleekness is really impressive. _________________ FOLLOW SOLE COLLECTOR ON TWITTER

Okay i got some questions.
i'm 30 years old,
use to be active in competitions, but now adays i just ballin for fun with my friends twice a week or so in wood indoor court.
stats is 180 cm / 90 KG , yeah i'm a on the heavy side.
playing stye: i'm a shooter but some times i do cut into the rims. but most of the times i played small forward / 3pt shooter.
i got ankle problems on my left ankles, but since i use Nike VC III it seems to be gone.
anyway i used to love air jordan, but after a got a quite severe ankle injury, i switch to VC III cause i saw the review in kicksology, and i realy satisfied by it.
i own 4 pair of the vc III, but now all almost worn out,
so i need to buy new shoes. cause i can't find any VC III anymore in my country.
another thing is my feet is more on the wider type with "flat foot"
so can anybody recommend my some ?
never been fans of air max though , so please don't recommend any air max to me as i feel its too "soft, unstable, and slow " to me.
i need ankle protection, traction, comfort, model or looks doesn't really bother me.
i've been thinkin of:
-New VC i forgot the name, but it looks like it kind of too low for it to support my ankle.
-LeBron VI looks heavy though.
-Hyperdunk are they comfortable ?
or is there any ohter recomendation ?
thank you. |

^from what youve described, I think you'd be good with the Lebron VI, even though it looks heavy its pretty light, so you should be good there. You also wanted support and I think the Lebron has good support of the ankle and a nice beefy midsole for lots of comfort
I would also consider the Adidas Pro Model, they're pretty cheap and Ive never heard of anyone disliking them _________________

i have a quick question. what shoes are really good for INDOORS especially on dusty/slippery indoor floors. because its too cold to be playing outdoors, and i play basketball/handball indoors at CSI, and they RARELY ever clean the floor so the floor is always slippery/dusty, any help on what shoe would be good for that. much help is appreciated _________________ Lemon Frost Blazers size 6, Making History/81 Points Kobe Energy Hyperdunk, SAMPLE ATC 1 Agassi, OG White/Red XIII, Freshwater AM95, Atmos AM1

hi, im ordering online lebron vi for playing basketball,
anyway, just want ot make sure, this shoes is those that i should buy half size bigger or half size smaller ?
normally i played in my VC III size US 10,5 but yesterday i tried my fren lebron VI size 10,5 .
it can fit but i feel that its inner padding is very thick, so i my foot is like cramped .
but i'm afraid if i buy bigger size my foot gonna slide in them too,
so i'm confused what size to get.
do they expand much after use ?
i compared the shoes to my vc III and both same size but the vc iii is definatelly longer by almost 1 cm !
also 1 more question, when i tried it, i feel the back of my foot, around the carbon fibre thingy is like something is "pushing" or more like i can feel something proturding in there.
i don't know is it supposed to be like that ?
and i feel that the ankle support is quite weak cause no matter how tight you tied, it seems that the laces goes lose by it self over time.
or should i get other nike's ?
i really need a basketball shoes now as my VC III is very bad already, so please i need expert advice here.
thx. |

A very hard question, because I don't think there's a sneaker right now, that has a hi hard heel-cup like the VC III, if you feel the heel-cup on the LeBrons pushing into your ankle, they're probably not the right shape for your ankles, so I'd reconsider those, because that could cause some real trouble down the line, my favorite sneakers for ankle-support(and support in general) right now is the TS Commanders, it's a very versatile sneaker, that really places your feet in the right position, without restricting your feet and ankles too much, so comfort, traction, and tons of protection.
But since the Shox really seem to suit your feet, you could also look into the Shox VC's wearing right now(Nike Shox Gamer), or maybe some of the Shox some of the bigger players are wearing, they usually are build with better/more support. |

mods could you possibly "STICKY" this thread cause unlike half the threads on here this thread has actual meaning and can be put to good use unlike threads like...."______shoe vs. _______shoe, kobe vs lebron, nike vs reebok, nike shoes suck, etc, etc." and all the other other garbage thats out there. _________________ JORDANS & NIKES SZ 8.5

which of theese three will better to suits me
lebron VI
Hyper Dunk
Jordan XX3
cause there's limited choice in my country
thx. |

Personally, I'd say the XX3's, they're the best all-round sneaker out of those 3 IMO, and have all the fundamentals of a good basketball sneaker right, the sole is very stable(some players get some discomfort at the little toe, because of the strap across the fore-foot, but I think that should be preventable if you'd double-sock), a strong heel-cup, the upper is very fitted(I got 'em .5 size smaller, to get a better fit, like the XIV's, they have a pretty long mid-foot area), they're not necessarily comfortable, but do an excellent job on performance, great traction, and like I said, a very stable sole, the fitted upper gives a lot of control, and both combined, help keep your feet in the right place, the cushioning is really good(so no jarring landings), there's not a lot of high-ankle support, because they're just not that high, but then again, the HD's and LeBron VI don't have a lot of high-ankle support either.
EDIT- I'd stay away from the colorways with a patent tongue though, because the squeaking will drive you insane.
And keeping in mind, you had the heel-cup pushing into your heel, when trying the LeBron VI, and the Hyperdunks having durability issues, I think they'd suit you best. |

when it comes to traction, especially on a slippery court. cuz the gym i go to has similar problems. only one shoe comes to mind. The XX2. the grip on the sole is awesome. _________________ My Air Jordan Collection |

I played in my LeBron II's a few days ago, and soon remembered why these are among the best: there is really nothing to complain about. I've had my current black/red pair since the beginning of 2006, and I can't bring myself to get something else...the durability has been amazing. 8)
However, is there is there a shoe that has similar performance specs on the market today? Because I'm going to have to expand my rotation someday. _________________
