Nice review!
I actually don't care for the heel fit so far and am not crazy about the lockdown (lack of), as the shoe feels a bit roomy and sloppy to me in general. Haven't been able to track down a 12.5 yet at all either, which I'm sure would make a difference. Either way, there's a fundamental bias from me in that I'm definitely a Zoom guy, and the shoe is probably best suited towards power players or people that want more firm cushioning. Craftsmanship and build is real nice though, which it better be for $160.
Kobe and LeBron's kicks have always just spoken to different tastes, which is fine as those people exist I guess. I'm just a Kobe guy myself. _________________ FOLLOW SOLE COLLECTOR ON TWITTER

i think that is where nike got it right. they have a speedy lightweight pullup guy and a power heavy duty driving guy to push their line. I am also a Zoom guy and love kobes. _________________

Great review Whiplash, I'm a little worried about the heat control, and the low instep, but I can't wait to check 'em out.
Being a big power guy, I'm on the LeBron side, I need the extra cushioning, and support, so I'm happy Nike's got both a Lightweight-finesse sig, and a Supportive-power sig that both get a lot of attention. I do hope they'll keep the LeBrons on the performance side though, the casual styling really went at the expense of performance with the Six. _________________ TEAM SC EUROPA |

Force or Flight, fellas? I too am glad it seems to be going back to that separation. If nothing else, it made for a pretty good set of cemmercials. _________________ Joshua 6:20

Can anyone tell me how the Jordan Olympias are for ball? I see many similarities with the X (which are top 5 imo for jordans court wise)
Is it full length zoom or heel and forefoot? _________________ Jordans size 10 - 11 CHEAP AS HELL OFFER ME ANYTHING

Nice review Whiplash.
Definitely a type of shoes I like to play with. Now I can only hope that by the time the shoes reach here, I have enough money to buy it |

It can be a pain in the rear to look through all the pages--it would be cool (although I am sure it would be a fair amount of work) if someone could provide some kind of index to the actual reviews that appear in this thread... |

I'm with Nick on this one. The Lebron VII are nicely made shoes, but don't really cut it for me as a basketball shoe. Fit is pretty good, traction is good, and I think these shoes have good durability. However, I'm not digging the dead, firm cushioning, lack of court feel, and the high cut of the shoe. I thought they might grow on me with additional wears, but they didn't. I'd much rather play in some high quality zoom based shoes - Lebron IIs, ZS3s, Kobe IVs, XVIIIs, or XX3s (the penultimate of performance basketball shoes for me). The LBJ VIIs are nice sneakers, just not right for me. |

Altough I dont own a pair of these I have tried them on and they were alot firmer than I expected , but I was comparing them to the Air Max 2009 which are so much softer, it seems the basketball engineered air unit has the stability I thought it would'nt have. _________________ http://www.solecollector.com/forums/nickair75-s-collection-t810957.html
