I'm looking to seaglow for the first time, and I was wondering the same thing. I am in Chicago so I was gonna wait for summer, but why cant we do it in the winter? if we just need UV rays from the sun we get plenty of sunny cold days, wouldn't that work? _________________ Got big feet?? What would happen if a sole gets separated from a pair of AJ XI's (Space Jams, Concords), what if you dip the whole sole in like a bucket full of Sea Glow? Or something of that extent, lol. Just wondering. |
well for one thing it will ruin the traction on the bottom |
I read all it takes is a good cleaning with dish soap to get it back. _________________ Got big feet?? Check out my listings!! OG XI's

You should be able to use Sea Glow as long as it's sunny.
It's been about 50ish degrees here in California with a good amount of sun the past couple days.
I've been able to lighten up a few shades on some of my yellowed clear soles.
I do not know what Sea Glow's freezing point is though. If your temperatures are below it's freezing point, then most likely Sea Glow will not be very effective.

It's possible that it might become difficult for glue to adhere to the inside part of the soles during the reattachment process. So if it did become detached, I would just use it on the outer region specifically. _________________ RESTORE/Cleaning FAQ VOL. 7 - ASK Questions in that thread not my PM box
Also for the folks that ask. I don't take in restore work. I never have and I probably never will since I don't have time.

Good point on the freezing, never really thought about that. I'm going to just put them on a table right by my window on a real bright day and see what happens, maybe worth a try. _________________ Got big feet?? Check out my listings!! OG XI's

What is the best way to Store the Xi/Xii CDPs ?
I'm planning on storing them for a year then I'll start wearing them.
I already have a perfect place to store them which is my closet because it's cool and never gets warm.
I just need to know how to store them, like should I put each shoe in a ziplock bag, should I put both shoes in one bag, etc ?!
Thanks in advance _________________ TheWorks

My understanding from reading on these forums is if it is overheated and the glue came undone you should be able to clamp it and let it re-set. Just as long as the glue hadn't cooled off enough yet. _________________ Got big feet?? Check out my listings!! OG XI's

ktang235- Both of them are about the same, i wouldnt know where to buy them, but if you got to a Home depot, you can probably find one of them. If you were to chose between barge and e 6000, go with barge. _________________ 7-8.5
