any hardware store carries it (home depot, ace, etc); make sure it's paintable (read the label or ask the store clerk) _________________ Always on the lookout for 11.5-12

I recent just got some inking from my jeans on the gray suede tongue and inside on the white, any tips on getting if off besides the magic eraser?
Here's a pic of them so you know where the areas are,
Also the suede toebox of my raptor VII's are kinda faded, i applied water and that only made it worst, any tips on making it return back to it's OG color? I heard about baby oil, can anyone confirm it actually works?
Thanks. _________________ For Sale:

I tried it on my raptors todays and they look way better. I guess I have to change my listing pics or edit with a different pair of sneakers I want to sell. _________________ PM SNEAKERologyy for shoe restorations and make sure to tell them sneaky913 sent you.

Did you just use baby oil and nothing else? _________________ For Sale:

Here are the instructions that darkstar0109 gave me on the last page...
for large areas, use a very soft toothbrush! for small areas, use ur finger! basically apply a small amount of baby oil to the tip/top of toothbrush. then brush the suede in either a circular motion (but dont brush too hard or too fast cuz u might mess up the suede!!). if u dont see any improvement, then add a little more, but dont over do it or u'll end up with a greasy mess!! i've never used a rag becuz rags tend to leave un-needed lint stuck to the suede, which can be a hassle to remove after applying baby oil!! NOW, I DONT GUARANTEE THAT THE SUEDE WILL LOOK EXACTLY LIKE BEFORE, BUT IT WILL DARKEN UP... THUS GIVING IT A MORE RICH TEXTURE!! _________________ PM SNEAKERologyy for shoe restorations and make sure to tell them sneaky913 sent you.

I don't have a camera right now, I use pics I had in the old marketplace, since I don't use anything I have up. _________________ PM SNEAKERologyy for shoe restorations and make sure to tell them sneaky913 sent you.

^^^ bro i just took a look at ur listings & r those raptors the ones u mentioned before?? if they are, baby oil will definitely bring color out, but u (or whomever buys them), will need to add baby oil once in a while becuz of the water damage they took!! i had the same experience like 6/7 years ago & i put a wet rag on them and the suede got destroyed. it sucks that the suede on these are so sensitive!! |
I tried it earlier and they look great, thanks for the help. I don't know if I want to sell them now, the way the looked is the only reason I don't wear them. I don't feel comfortable wearing stuff in that condition, I got them in a trade and thought I could clean them up. Glad I came in this forum today and peeped that other guy talking about using baby oil on his shadows. _________________ PM SNEAKERologyy for shoe restorations and make sure to tell them sneaky913 sent you.
