Man that black/purple is nice. I'd consider getting a pair but I'd only be destroying them on-court....

so it's been a while since the 100 Greatest Kicks issue of Sole Collector magazine came out and i was just wondering, if the list were to be rewritten to include the Zoom Kobe IV, where does it belong on the list? It's definietly in the top ten for me. It doesnt quite have the history of the XI, the Chuck Taylor or Air Force 1 or the Dunk but it's definitely a legendary shoe in its own right and its legend will continue to grow as kobe wins more championships. It's definitely a better shoe for basketball that the foamposite which was #6 (I think) but a lot of people probably wouldnt put the ZK4 ahead of it cuz it's still a new shoe and penny's, especially foams, are one of the most popular shoes in the sneaker world. Would you guys put it ahead of such jordans as the III, IV, V, and VI (all of which made the list)?

what a post for a new member. gg.

I would think it'd rank up to the 3 and the 4 of the AJ as far as height of the ankle is concerned. As for performance wise, I believe that the ZKIV outperforms every Jordan except the 11s and the 23s. Not sure though, just my IMO. I've heard that the AJ23 was a great shoe on the court and my 11s are really great also. But that's a whole different story.

The IV most def should make its way onto that 100 if it came to a sig shoe from kobe. those are just my thoughts.. Embarassed

To me, the design was predictable and nothing legendary though.

There's a toe cap and collar, and the rest of the design fell into place from there.

I think Avar & Co. were more worried about getting the performance down, and now we'll start to see better *designs* in the future.

I have no idea what that holds, but I'd have to think the VI and VII will be even better if we were to ever re-do the list.

The IV is a top 10 shoe for me too, on the basketball court, but the Lunar Foam is so quickly dead that it's hard to figure where the shoe would rank when discussing all-time greats across all categories and all brands.

The history of the shoe has only a few. 4th ring, 61 pts, 24th career pt. etc. And I have to agree with the Lunar Foam. It doesn't last as long as I expected it would to. One of the biggest faults on the 4. Avar did concentrate more on the performance on this shoe which truly showed on the court.

Nevertheless, it should stack up high when it comes to the top 10, IMO.

i definitely agree with randy about the history about the shoe. For example the 4 ring shoes represent his fourth championship so i like them and wanted them even though i think the away gradients look best out of the 3 gradients (I did get 3).

Lunar foam will definitely be a downside when looking at the top 100

I think it will stack up high also and i am also excited about the future shoes.
