dumbells, i was focusing on db presses to even out my arms. before i started, my left arm was doing about 50% |
your total weight for dbs should be a little lower than your total weight with the barbell because there's more range of motion and each part of the chest is working individually. the reason i dont like doing barbell bench press for guys just starting out is because it can create imbalances like you showed...your left arm being weaker than your right. dbs help correct that. |

barbell press and db press are two different target achieving chest exercises. One practices strength in mass another is strength in form / ROM.
Anyone in NYC up for some training? I could use someone to run with when I'm logging 10+ miles a day for the next 6 months. I need to get my 10k time down into the 45mins, I'm running at 54-58min 10k now and coming off a 28mile bike course, 6.2 miles is tough. I'm a bit afraid of swimming in the Hudson but I'll be sure to let you all know how awesome it taste! _________________ :SNEAKERPIMPS INTERNATIONAL:

Nope. You should be able to lift more on the Barbell. Dumbbells are a little harder because it's single arm, and you also have to concentrate on stabilization more. _________________

Bro montana. Good shit on making it into the marathon. I have somewhat flat/wide feet and I plan on running on all types of grounds. I'm not too heavy either. What kind of shoes would you recommend. I'm more of a speed runner also if that helps. _________________

What does the mass xxx and mass xxx amplified do?
How much rest do muscles need?
Right now I'm working out evryday
My schedule:
One day chest back
Next day arms shoulders and legs
I am not having full day rests for all my muscles but I am resting a day for the muscles I worked out _________________ Lebron James: Friendlies Pack/ UWR

If you work out everyday.... THEN WHY IS THERE ONLY A 2 DAY SPLIT. Not only that, but chest and back on one day/ Arms, shoulder & legs in one day? You're not having a full days rest?!?! THEN SPLIT UP YOUR MUSCLE GROUPS. It's not that complicated. _________________

edit: eh, i didnt really do my homework on casein before i started.. all i knew was that it was best at night or at times where you knew that you weren't going to have a meal for awhile.. but then again, i didn't really do a check up because almost all supplements have negative opinions. i was bored today and ended up looking up the negatives of casein and i was sorta surprised..
is it really a carcinogen? |
casein protein as a carcinogen? hmm..not that i know of...anyone else care to share some light on this? source link? |

I too have wide/flat feet aka fallen arches! It's difficult for me also so narrow sneakers kill my feet and some of the best / most aero or lightest cycling shoes are narrow like SIDI's. I would love a set of SIDI Carbon cycling shoes but they are just too narrow for me especially if they run in the $300+ range just for a pair of shoes. So when I go running I'm about to go for a new Gait Analysis and Water Test @ Super Runner's Shop so I can redo my stride analysis and use my new sneakers to train in all the way through to the Triathlon.
I am looking at the following:
Newton, Brooks, Mizzuno, and Pearl Izumi. I am running Asics Nimbus 11 right now and I love them but they are the "affordable" running sneakers at I think around $90 a pair. They are great I just want to know what the hell the difference is between the 90 kicks and the 150 specific brands like PI and Newton.
I'll report back post Gait Analysis - I know for sure I overpronate due to the fallen arches compensation. It's strange though when I wear arch supporting heel stablizing sneakers it actually hurts my arches more so then supporting them. _________________ :SNEAKERPIMPS INTERNATIONAL:
