stretching tires started in europe because it's illegal for the tire to exceed the fender. so to run wider and low offset wheels people put smaller tires on bigger rims.
it seem to have caught on as "style" across the world.

Usually staggered wheels are for performance. More grip in the rear for RWD cars.

quick question, (idk if this belongs here but hey, its tires)
i have a toyota MR2 and i believe it is time for a tire rotation since this is gonna
be my first time i wanted some verification on this.
the fronts tires straight to the back and the back tires to the front diagonally?
also, i wanted to know if the tire size is on the actual tire. (sorry if this question was
on the first page, didnt get a chance to read it all since im on my sk)

^ ^ Yes, you can do a simple tire rotation....front to back or vice versa.
You can also do front driver side to rear passenger side etc............(optional)
Tire size is located on the tire
example: 175/70/14
