I'm actually leaning toward selling my iPhone 2g unlocked to get a Blackberry, I want a T-Mobile branded phone though.

personal preference once again
depends on what he'll be doing more-if it's games and a lot of web browsing i'd go towards the iPhone
if it's just for everyday use-bberry curve
