what i did was clean the dash with warm soapy water and a scrub brush.

let it dry. then used a scuff pad. then used bulldog adhesion promoter. ( a few light coats will do) it will get tacky

i used duplicolor high performance vinyl and fabric paint. costs around 6 to 8 i think i dont remember i havent done it in a while.

spray in light coast and it dries pretty fast could give about five to ten minutes between coats. theres another method which can smooth out

the dash but i didnt go that route you would have to do a lot of sanding with different grit paper and thats a lot more time consuming

heres the drivers side. dont mind my dirty floor mat its an old pic. it looks cleaner in there lol

OJ, do you have any idea what kind of car you want?

Mileage and price really depends on what you want.

If you want a daily driver. Get a Civic/Integra. You get easily over 25+mpg and you can find Civics in your area for dirt right now with the recession. And those motors are cheap to rebuild if anything goes wrong, maintence is easy also.

I'm contemplating on whether going for coilovers or a spring/shock setup.

I don't really want to drop all the money for a set of coils, but I do like being able to adjust the setup.

Whaddya guys think?

Coilovers are good, like you said because you can adjust it. Later on you might change your mind and want a different height if your willing to spend the extra money. But springs/Coils is a way cheaper setup. imo i think if your not going to be adjusting it a whole lot, then get springs/shocks.

I would prob say a Civic or Golf and a Mazda 3
Pretty straight forward easy to maintain cars with good gas mileage.

Loveforjordan, since your car is a dark color, why not get some dark or carbon taillights ?

Those are more like sedans though Confused
For some reason he doesnt like sedans, says they "ride too low"

Anything more of a prius shape?
We were looking at some, but the ones with good mileage are hybrids and cost too much $$

are you sure you were looking at the right cars. GTI and Civic are pure hatch. the Mazda 3 is a 5 door hatch

Q5 I've heard only good things about, from fit and finish to overall performance.
Never had the chance to drive one yet.......
I'm not a fan of the RDX, great safety rating but then again most small suvs are
X3, never been a fan, I would take a X5 anyday but not the X3.

Q5 takes the overall appearance between the 3 you asked about.
and I like the 270hp V6 it comes with.
Sorry I can't tell you more..........

Benz GLK350, Acura RDX, BMW X3, Infiniti EX35, Cadillac SRX...that's nice competition for a Q5

Can someone recommend me some wheels for my car ? Most of the ones i see, they either don't have my bolt pattern (5x100) or they don't have the size i want.. (18x9.5 all around).

I'm looking for something that look like this..

Basically, LM- looking with a lip..

Or some good websites i can look at ?
