I recently got Pro Tools 7 and a microphone which is an Audio Technica
AT2020 Cardioid Condenser. My setup is set up to an mbox. I have been having countless troubles. When I start recording the mic power is either not on or i have to turn my volume on mic real high. Can someone please help me out?
Here's a picture showing what keeps coming up:
when I hit record
on the right of the audio 1 the waves keep shooting all the way up whenever I hit record

If the mic is not on when it is plugged, try pressing the 48V button which is located right next to the left input knob. As far as the other issue with it being too load. try lowering you input and are you running the mic through any mixer or preamp before it reaches the mbox? cause if you are, make sure those knobs are lowered as well. _________________ With Friends like these, who needs enemies?

i have a question.
for years i've been writing down my thoughts (raps) and im interested in learning how to produce so i can make beats and start putting something together.
i have no idea how to produce, im just wondering what is the best way to get started.
ive saved enough money for an MPC 1000 but i think i need to learn how to work with a program (something like fruity loops or Logic) first.
any help is appreciated, thanks. _________________ EYAHHHHHHH :!: |

What is Lab Rats? A group of issers who dj/produce/mix and share music. Significance of the group is, we're positive chill folks, and we like to help other producers, djs, or anybody whos interested in composing music, w/ interface or program problems(ex. midi, turntables, fruity loops, adobe.) If Lab Rats do become a usergroup, i'd say what we're looking for when recruiting is, an outgoing personality, some kind of dj/mixing/producing background or knowledge. As for the icons, id say vinyl records + milk crates would suit us perfect. |

Anyone have a MicroKORG?
Im looking to buy one. Or if anyone knows something better or similar and cheaper
My friend has the MicroKORG, Ive seen it, its pretty dope, its kinda for beginners, like me,
so LMK about it, or comparisons, if you think something is better
Im looking at a good $250-$300 for the MicroKORG, the most I would like to spend on a Keyboard synth is $350, so Help me out ISS! _________________ 20% OFF KARMALOOP.COM USE CODE GL34658
