I've recently been scouring the web for as much information as I can find about different tips, tricks, and techniques in regards to the many different styles of post processing I have seen. There are some incredible photos out there that are made even better after some spectacular post processing work has been done. I have tried messaging some of the photographers on different forums asking if they would share their techniques with me, however most are very reluctant to. But, I'm very grateful to the ones that do.
I had a conversation with some fellow photographers and they tell me that the photographers don't want to share it because they want to keep their work unique. Therefore allowing them to market their particular style. I can understand that to a degree, however in order for them to learn and develop their own unique style someone else had to share their knowledge of their style. So, my gripe is that if someone was willing to share with you, why aren't you willing to pass it on?
I too would like to develop my own style, but in order to do so I need to build a foundation. Nobody just knows stuff without being taught. You can't learn to build your own house without someone else showing you the blue prints to their house first. Those blue prints would only serve as a foundation because I would want mine to be a reflection of myself.
Now even if someone was copying your style, you should be both offended but also flattered. Remember this though, that you should constantly be redefining your style and coming up with new techniques built upon the foundation you've learned along the way. The most famous and well known artists are always doing just that.
Now that aside, here are a bunch of links that I've found with a wealth of information so that we all can learn, build, and come up with our own style. Please feel free to add more links or even post some of your own techniques for everyone to learn.
Remember, I take no credit for coming up with any of these techniques. All credit can go to whoever developed them and put them online.
I'll keep adding more as I find more stuff I think is interesting

With this one, i've noticed that you can get some better results without desaturating the image. You can skip that step and be fine.

Nice quick, good looks.
A program that I use for editing skin is "Portraiture", it works really weeeeeelll.
I recommend it.
ALSO, for lightroom, download some presets, it can give you some nice looking tones and you can fool around with it. _________________
