good thread!
the working link for the contrast masking is - http://www.digicamhelp.com/processing-photos/advanced-editing/contrast-masking/
one thing i would add is that you can learn alot by analysing other peoples work and trying to figure out how its done as opposed to being told, as the real classy stuff is always kept dead secret for quite a while.
got a PS tip to add, to sharpen an image or bring out highlights, duplicate the layer you want to sharpen up, goto> fliters>other>high pass. make the level so low that its about .90 or thereabouts, you want to have nothing but grey and a load of fine white lines in the preview. click OK and set that layer to linear light. should bring it out nicely and you can mask out bits you dont want. its often done as the final step and a global adjustment but you can do it where ever you like.
this step is used in alot of tutorials in good illustration and graphic design mags. you may know it already but if you dont its a good one to use. _________________

A program that I use for editing skin is "Portraiture", it works really weeeeeelll.
I recommend it.
ALSO, for lightroom, download some presets, it can give you some nice looking tones and you can fool around with it. |
connor is that program free? _________________ .

I need some help with Illustrator and I need it as soon as possible. Let's say I need to apply an art peice or picture or an image in general to a shirt . Like over the whole shirt like this image
How would I do this, Iv'e opened up every drop down menu and clicked on every pathfinder option, nothing is working. In other words I need a cutt out of the image in the shape of a tee shirt. get it?[/img] _________________ "ne vous reste dans la paix éternelle michael" -1958-2009

OK, so i recently got Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and I fixed a couple of pictures. After I fixed them up, how do I save that adjusted pic and replace it with the original? Btw, I imported a whole collection of pictures if that helps solving my problem. _________________ ┌─┐
