Eugene Police Chief Pete Kerns on Friday said the incident was "unfortunate" but praised Crossan for defending his home, calling his actions "heroic."

The technology promises a virtuous cycle, allowing content producers to generate more revenue over mobile devices, which in turn will lead to better applications, said Omar Hamoui, founder and CEO of AdMob, in a statement.
"As publishers and developers generate more revenue from their mobile products, they will invest more, and their mobile offerings will become richer, more creative and more robust," he said.
In late September, Google Chief Executive Eric Schmidt declared that the worst of the recession over and said the company would accelerate its acquisitions to about a company a month, following a relatively slow M&A period. At the end of the third quarter, Google boasted a cash war chest of $22 billion to finance this strategy.
The deal is subject to customary closing conditions. |

In 2007, Lopez won $545,000 in another lawsuit that blocked Noa from publishing a ghostwritten tell-all book.
The lawsuit was filed Friday.
