As a Lebron collector too I respect your collection but I have to criticize this logic...
A shoe wether they are Prototypes, Samples, PEs, LEs, QS or GRs are all shoes. If you like the style, like to colourway and/or materials, you buy them. Limitedness should not be a factor...if you do then this is what you call hypebeast mentality.

Yes, ur right. If I don't like it, even though it is 1 of 1 or game worn, I'll not get it.
Respect yr point but imo, value is also a consideration for me. It could be in terms of money or satisfaction. My home is not big enough to store all the kicks I like so I hv to choose. I'll select those which are most valuable to me.
Like this pair, I'll treat it as an art and never rock it coz I don't want to be a disney character in order to match with it. Therefore, if it is sample, the value could be higher and might worth to get it.

in regards to the double O vs hahaha8 conversation....
it really depends what you're into.
if you wear shoes casually and just appreciate the shoes to wear then yes....you take the double O view...buuuut, if your a "collector," you're goal is to obtain the rare pieces, the hard to "obtain" shoes, etc regardless of how they look. In that case you'd see things in hahaha8's way. Collectors are always looking to set thier apart from others. Doesnt necesarily qualify them as a hypebest

People need to remember..... BUY WHAT YOU LIKE! Who cares what other people think. Who cares if it's a 1 of 1 or a GR that they made hundreds of thousands of. Your taste could change from year to year. One minute it's Lebrons and then it's Jordans. Maybe PE's and then to samples or GR's. Sometimes it's just what is available at the time and what you can afford at the time. Me personally.... I am all about great deals!

i'm kind of in the middle about this issue. i am 100% behind the idea of buying what you like, and completely against buying for rarity. however, i am a collector before anything else. not because of resell value or any other reason, just because i like to collect. that being said, there are shoes that i say "wow i would never wear those but i would love to have them in my collection". and then there are shoes that i say "wow i am going to get a pair of those to rock and a pair to stock". the stewies for example, i would NEVER wear them but i would kill to have them in my collection just because of the unique design and colorblocking. just because there are certain shoes that i would never wear in public doesnt mean i cant also think it's a beautiful design. and i by no means consider myself a hypebeast, so i do think there is a grey area to this issue
