i'm kind of in the middle about this issue. i am 100% behind the idea of buying what you like, and completely against buying for rarity. however, i am a collector before anything else. not because of resell value or any other reason, just because i like to collect. that being said, there are shoes that i say "wow i would never wear those but i would love to have them in my collection". and then there are shoes that i say "wow i am going to get a pair of those to rock and a pair to stock". the stewies for example, i would NEVER wear them but i would kill to have them in my collection just because of the unique design and colorblocking. just because there are certain shoes that i would never wear in public doesnt mean i cant also think it's a beautiful design. and i by no means consider myself a hypebeast, so i do think there is a grey area to this issue

your situation is defnitely not hypebeast because you like the shoe because of the design or colourway even if you won't wear them. But liking it because its rare and then not because its a GR is totally different
we are the same boat on this Stewie's because in no way in hell I'll wear them but I'll definitely would love to own them because of their uniqueness, GR or PE
come on people who doesn't like Stewie...
