So in my attempt to bring some spark back to the Photography Forum, I think we should start the contest again. But it's not going to be like Team Nikon vs. Team Canon. It's a free for all event, anyone can participate. Whether you pick up a camera an hour ago, or if you've been practicing Photography for years. There are going to be new rules, and new contest. It's just going to be for fun, but we'll see how it goes. Maybe something special at the end of the year.
What I would like to do is just have a bunch of contest. Categories on anything and everything. Since I would like to do them weekly, the more ideas, the longer it will last. Well of course I'm going to need participation. The breakdown for the contest will be like this:
5 days to submit a Photo.
1 day of voting.
Last day of the week the winner will be announced.
Breakdown:
Sunday-Thursday -> Submissions
Friday-> Voting
Saturday-> Winner announced.
The way I want it set up is so that you can participate in whatever contest you want. If you don't like the topic, or don't have time, just skip it. There will be another next week. People will be granted points for every contest they place in. The points will then add you to the scoreboard. First place is awarded 10 points, Second place is awarded 7 points, and Third place will be awarded 4 points. At the end of the year, there may be something for the person who is leading in points. A separate thread would be made for voting, and locked after the 6th day to count up the votes. Everyone who submits a photo will have there photo in the thread. No names, a number system will be imposed. Also, for fun, if you want, you can tell us what you shoot with. I.E, when you submit a photo, add "Canon" at the bottom. On the last day when the winner is announced we could brainstorm for the next week's topic if we don't already have it.
Rules:
-The photo must be yours.
-It can be new or old.
-One photo per contestant per contest.
-No Flaming, go to the FT.
-No drugs/nudity/weapons/violence.
-Once the photo is submitted you can't change it.
-No tagged or watermarked photos. They will be cropped out.
-All submissions must be PM'd to me.
(The Rules are subject to change. When I get more input from you guys it will probably happen.)

I'm open to suggestions, but I will run it like this for a couple weeks to see how it goes.

yeah i was thinking of doing little raffles and such....i have alot of shit in my closet i dont wear and it can be useful to spice shyt up.....its a headech to sell shit anyways....im with you on this idea.

hey Ryan this might be far fetched, but how about we set up a paypal account in which participants can drop 2 or 3 dollars and at the end the winner gets the money collected?.....sounds like a dope idea, i think.

Yes guys I know that. I said I'm going to put it in the title on launch day. Right now it's just to get everyone familiar with the way the contest is going to be run and the rules. ON SUNDAY AUGUST 30TH THE CONTEST TITLE WILL BE IN THE TITLE.
The way the contest run is that they start every Sunday.
Breakdown:
Sunday-Thursday -> Submissions
Friday-> Voting
Saturday-> Winner announced.
Kstyle- Yeah, but I idk if people would actually donate. But it can't hurt to try.
