its the first htc phone built based on android. if you wana know more just google it... lol people don't use online search engine enough.
and as far as a good rom, all of them are good, its just depend what do you want in it such as different apps and stuff

im trying to decide to return my 3g iphone (im still within 30 days) and get the htc tilt....
ive always loved htc products n the iphone is good but its that i can get around 800 for this on ebay and skyfire just sent me a text that i can get its beta and its only for windows mobile phones... ppl who dont know what skyfire is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mWUoxiLZFc
it has built in flash and can do EVERYTHING that a cpu can. so i need input on this tho |

well i've always prefer HTC pcc > iphone. so no doubt its the tilt. however, people dont like the thickness of pcc so i'm not sure if it's a problem for you.
also, once you get a pcc, it is VERY recommended to load a new ROM and 'hack' it and that's a little time consuming if you are not very tech knowledgeable.
i'm using the skyfire and there's some downside to it compare with opera mini. ( i recommend both on your phone) the skyfire is a little bit slower to load and it takes time to zoom in unlike opera mini is a lot faster. i now use both depending what website i'm going to and etc...

I have a Cingular 8125.
Just wanted to know if there's an AIM app out there that uses:
1. SMS
2. Wi-Fi
I have free Wi-Fi and unlimited SMS. I can't afford to use data cause I don't wanna get charged.

well you can just get a picture from any site and set it as your wallpaper. if you want like a THEME. just google skin for pocket pc

i'm not sure if cingular came with a default AIM program, but i'm pretty sure that program only uses text messages. you can call ATT and confirm. however, you can also use a program call jivetalk to use AIM and get on wifi. just go to beejive.com and select windows mobile beta. its free! yay!

JiveTalk. Is there any hidden charges? Like data fees? Or will it be all good if I use Wi-Fi?

opera mini is MUCH faster in browsing, however, skyfire can be used with youtube. (if you get opera mini, PM me cause you also have to install this application called JAVA)
it SHOULDNT but if you are worried that much, then called ATT and ask them to disable the data connection and as well as the data connection on your phone. then you are 100% safe

Yeah, that sucks. But I made this connection where when it tries to connect to EDGE it doesn't work because I put random characters in the access point code. So it will be sure you will only use wi-fi.

Damn, there's a problem.
It says on the website I need WM6.
I only have WM5.
I've been looking around for WM6 roms but it's too hard to choose.
Anyone have any recommendations?
