I almost got fooled by this pair of 180's on ebay - at first I thought they were an ID but it turns out just a very well done pair of fakes...

I haven't seen this colorway before, and the seller said they were purchased at a Nike factory store in Leesburg, VA. My thought was that they were returned ID's (he doesn't have OG box) or fakes. The shape looks alright to me, and I checked the tag against my HOAs and it looks good, except for one thing - the tag is on the side of the inside of the shoe, rather than behind the tongue. Did they do this with 180 ID's, or any 180's? Or is this a sign of fake? Here are the pics, imput would be much appreciated.

Well I checked my 180 iD's and snapped a quick pic of the tongue tags. Now I believe that these are indeed fakes. 
Again a few things to clarify, there are at least 2 known pairs of 180's with tags on the ankles and 180 iD's did have the "Nike International" logo on the insole like these do.
And the tags don't specifically mention "Nike ID" on them, unlike others that did like the iD AM87.
What finally got me on these is that they're being given a sku # of 310155-070 and these were definitely not an official release. They also have 2 dates on them which both appear to be the same?! Usually one is the production date and the other is the release date and they're a few months apart. As you can see in the pic below all of my iD's only have 1 date at the bottom and all have "041202 VT" on the line under "Made In Vietnam/Fabrique Au Vietnam"
Plus those fonts are definitely off after comparing, I knew something didn't look quite right, but the "Made In Vietnam" and copyright "c" seemed ok last night. The blurry photo gave the "c" a serif at first glance, but it's not actually there. The "US, UK, EUR, and CM" font looked wrong and I shouldn't have been so quick to pass judgment.
Also have to agree about the insole that doesn't fit, seems to be another telling sign. FAKE!! |

Some fakes look really good, I am sure plenty are being sold on ebay.
Ebay doesn't seem to be interested in stopping it, and no wonder when they make money of them! |
