You cant really say which is better because its more of preference. I like to use mozilla firefox. Some others might like google chrome because its plain and simple to use. Others might like internet explorer.

Hey can anybody help me with this

I need to identify the characteristics for these following components and discuss how to diagnose and resolve problems related to each.

These are for a typical IBM PC.

microprocessor
power supply
expansion cards
drive controllers
memory sockets
floppy and hard drive cables
hard drive
CD-ROM drive
tape drive

Any help with any of these would be highly appreciated.

I actually find that Google Chrome is faster for me. Pages don't take so long to load, as compared to Firefox
But for some reason, GIF's load faster on Firefox Neutral

OVERALL THOUGH, I say Google Chrome Thumbs Up

I've also heard nice things about opera, whatever you do , don't get Flock -_-

diagnosing each part is really broad because it would depend on what noticeable problems you have and you usually have to look at the whole computer before you can get down to what part is causing the problem.kinda like a trial and error. but anyways...
-a microprocessor(im assuming is cpu) is essentially the brain of the computer..it does all the "work" and calculations.
-a power supply(psu) controls power going into the motherboard and as well as the other parts. its where u plug ur power chord into. it is the main source of power.
-expansion cards-are thing such as video cards, raid controllers, basically anything that would occupy the expansion slot. ie. pci-e, pci
drive controllers- im not sure what they are...but it sounds like something that manages hdd's which i think should be onboard..someone finish the rest. all this typing got me hungry Embarassed

Thanks JDMmugenIT. But I figured it out shortly after, it was for a project and I had a ton of other stuff to do and didn't think I would finish in time.

On another note, I reset my router because I wasn't able to log in to it, once I did that I had to activate it of something like that through the netgear website(I have the WGR614v7 by the way) after it finished activating, I tryed to visit a different website and I took me back to the same process, after a couple minutes I wondered if I had to reset my modem aswell, once I dis that I got something like "noaccess.verizon.net/dos" with dos being denial of service. At the page it ask me to log in using many different methods only two I really looked at were "username and password" and "enter 10 digit number and zip code" I tryed both but neither worked, I might have forgotten the username and password but I know my numbers and zipcode. Why doesn't it let log in? or why did the page pop up in the first place? What can I do to fix this asap by doing it myself?

Edit: resolved

Now my modem and router are bridged and I have an unsecure network I don't know if my problem is because of the bridge or unsecure network but I had a secure network and modem and router was not bridged and the problem wasn't as bad as now. I use my home network for Wi-Fi on my laptop when I check view status to check the speed in less than ten minutes I have 18 mbps. On the below link....I have the netgear router would I be better off if I bought the D-link? How can I unbridge the conncetion without getting verizons walled garden again? I took me 5 hours just to get my internet back since I contacted verizon and the speed is terrible after a short period of time. Please help.

Anyone?

I played around with it before my macbook had to be restored due to boot camp not working. I liked it, moves nicely even when I'm in a virtual machine (vmware fusion)
