My iPod Touch just went into recovery mode out of no where. When I try to restore it , my iTunes doesn't stop loading a software update. I had minor problems before, but none like this. So I made an appointment for the Genius Bar. So I was wondering what is the cost for them to restore it? I am out of warranty and I had the same problem before but I was in warranty. They fixed it in less than 5 minutes. But I want to know how much I may have to bring incase I do have to pay for a restore.

since the blackra1n requires you checking off the compatibility for windows; are there any consequences if you didn't check it and just jailbroke it from there? |
did you read the blog? if you have an 8gb. just restore using itunes, it wont work for any 8gb.
and if you have a 3rd gen, your suppose to flash it twice. the 3rd gen is tethered, so you have to reflash it everytime it dies.

I am positive they will not charge you money to restore your iPod.

You first need to buy the NES emulator they have (unless its free now) and then SSH the roms onto your ipod, by using another program from your computer. You could also possibly download them directly onto your ipod from online. Youre better off going to google for this.

i have a serious issue with my ipod touch, i can only hear out of the left side of my head phones when i'm walking. but when i'm sitting down i can slightly hear out the right ear when my ipod is positioned awkwardly. i know it's not the head phones since i just purchased a new pair saturday. does anyone have any idea of what would happen if i take it to the apple store???btw i don't have insurance on it and i've had it under a year.

Theres not much you can do. It has something to do with the headphone jack. You can try bringing it to apple but they would probably tell you that you cant really do much.

If you've had it for under a year, and you bought it from apple or new, you should have a year-long warranty on it. They should replace it for you, granted you didn't fuck it up yourself.

quick question to those who own this iPod. i have a 8gb nano slim, it's the one before the recent release with the video cam feature.
anyways does anyone have battery problems with it? i fully charge it and sometimes 25% will be drained and i don't even use it! this iPod drains out battery fast too. dunno if it's the fact that i charge it on my laptop, but i don't think that's the problem.

i'm having a problem with the lock button on my ipod touch, i have to press it really hard to unlock it, and sometimes it doesn't even work when i press it hard.
does the warranty help at all ?
