If you mean physically cracked, you should get it repaired, or live with it. I don't think there exists a safe DIY repair for that.

There are after market replacement screens but.......I wouldn't recommend it.

Depends on your firmware google "Jailbreaking ipod touch 2nd gen firmware [insert your firmware here]". It might not be available for the newer ones.
Will 3.1.2 undo my jailbreak?

about twenty minutes ago my iphone zoomed in and i can't get it to retract. everything is working finr except the fact that it is all the way zoomed in even in the lock screen. anyone ever experienced this?

You can make it zoom? Or is that iphone only? Have you tried restarting it?[/list]

i guess so? i never knew you could zoom in but it's all zommed in now. i've restarted it several times and it did nothing. i even updated it and when i re-sync all my info it goes back to this crap. i restored it and it was fine just now but i tried syncing all my info again and it did it again.
i'm restoring it again and i'll probably just manually enter my contacts.

That's very odd. I never have had mine zoom in ever, though I have an ipod touch 1st gen. So when you restored it and resynced your contacts it just zoomed in again?

after i restore it, it works fine. but as soon as i try to sync it to my itunes it acts up again. i'm guessing it's a problem during the sync so i'm just going to update the itunes and see where i'm at from there.

Hm. So would you suggest a first or second generation iPod Touch? Not sure which one I want or what differences are really. Haven't looked up anything in a while. Details if you can? I want it jailbroken for apps so yeah. Suggestions? |

2nd gen Differences include:
More rounded back
Volume buttons on the side
External Speakers
Larger capacity
Different box
Maybe more, but it's basically the same as the 1g. Price is a little lower than what the 1g was when it was being sold. Both have the same firmware I believe, and can be jailbroken the same. Apps are the same regardless of what you get.
