Thread is self-explanatory.
Anything Adidas related should be discussed here, if its release dates about colorway it all belongs here.
Rules: Just like any other forum all opinions must be respected.
Absolutely no flaming at all.
Lets begin talking and expressing our attitude towards Adidas. _________________ S4Ls Collection post

It's been a minute since we last unleashed a collaborative shoe, and Munich's Oktoberfest seems like a fair excuse to drop one. With the idea of tying a shoe in with the legendary European king of booze events suggested to us, the München was a no-brainer. Part of the mighty Cities Series, the Munchen's late '70's indoor training shoe design, that originally carried the vast PU cup sole akin to the mighty Trimm Trab, cult status in the UK was assured as an oft-envied piece of terrace, pub and casual wear in the early '80s. Not content with tinkering with beloved sneaker staples in the past, we've chosen to rework another sacred cow. Nothing ventured, nothing gained and all that.
Amplifying the undisputed connoisseur pub shoe status of this design on UK shores back to its namesake and the granddaddy of all beer events, seeing as it's a shoe we've loved in dual-tone texture mixes before, we wanted to give it some similar elements, and in the knowledge that some conceptual pieces get lost in heavy-handed storytelling, in a nutshell; we saw images of some lederhosen, noted the unexpected mixes of colour amid the well-known traditional elements, decided it looked unexpectedly fresh and familiar so we set about working it into the shoe.
Trying to make our mark without sullying the basic appeal, the soft tan leather and suede upper is complimented by red suede stripes, a forest green canvas heel tab, solitary gold eyelet, and darker brown suede lining. Beyond the colourway, materials are integral without making it too busy - conscious of its relevance to a particularly discerning consumer we were keen not to diminish the original appeal while making our mark. The gold Crooked lettering and trefoil on the heel, and embroidered tongue and footbed branding completes this package, limited to 300 pairs exclusively from the CT Store for 60gbp and available right here.

I was just thinking the same thing
Those Oktoberfests look like adidas answer to the af-1
They need to market the EQT line a little stronger or retro the Patrick Ewing model. Gauranteed attention. |

The Munchen dates back to the 1970's (several years before the AF1) and was originally designed as a training shoe. These simpler styles are definitely more popular in the UK than the later tech stuff.
Less is more I suppose.... |
