Windows Vista Home Premium upgrades to windows vista home premium.
32-bit to 32-bit.

You'd be saving money buying the Home Premium Upgrade...assuming you have Vista Home Premium, you'd be able to upgrade (save all your files and programs) as long as you have the same bit (32 or 64) OS.
However, if you want to clean install...The 7 Home Premium Upgrade does that also It'll ask you what you want to do after you put in the disk. _________________ I support the US military.

edit// also im on a dell. |
when upgrading from xp u have to do a clean install which basically reformat the computer.
I'm pretty sure after doing that there a folder call windows.old which have all of your old documents/music/programs.
i think you can copy the music and stuff over but the programs are useless.
get a second opinion first before doing it lol
btw if you want to be on the safe side just back up your things to a external _________________
