Yeah that is a good question. I'm not sure, but don't most players switch their shoes every game?
I Roc Jayz - great to hear a 2nd review. My question is, would you play ball in them again now that the cushioning got better and the traction got better as well? |
for me, absolutely not. easy.
wore them 3-4 times now to ball....usually my kicks break in within 3 wears....these are just as bad as when i first put them on....but with more scuffs. for me, they're just terrible balling shoes....but i love the look, will continue to wear them to go places or whatever, but for on court purposes.....Kobes > ALL. _________________

Reasonable. I think many of us will agree that the Zoom Air on any basketball shoe fits us best. Definitely make good use out of them casually though! |

^Well I also love Zoom Air but I have to say that I got used to be high of the floor after
the VI's.So this change didn't do much for me,actually I really, really love this shoe,
cuz I have a perfect fit, from toe to ankle.
The only logical thing I can see why they went to AM is because LeBron became to big,
to aggressive and strong to play in a 2/4 of a inch Air Bag.I mean I wore out my VI's long
time ago,and the cushioning isn't there anymore,I mean it is but it's not bouncy anymore
,just imagine what a dude that's literally as twice as big as I am does to his shoes? _________________

LeBron hasn't gotten that much bigger, not big enough to justify the Air Max change from Zoom Air. No offense but I'm skeptical about your review of the LeBron VII, especially since from the first day you wore it you were on Cloud 9 with this shoe even comparing to the AM2009. The AM2009 is in my opinion exponentially better, cushioning wise than the 7. I remember you stating you are a guard type player/slasher, etc. so i really dont understand how these shoes cater to your needs at all. Or I could be completely wrong and your review may not be subjective, blinded by the shoe simply being a LeBron. If you notice, I rarely if ever, give a review of a Kobe shoe because 1. I don't play enough to justify a review 2. I am a big Kobe fan and some may perceive I am viewing that shoe through that lens. Out of curiousity what flaws do you find in the VII? Lets be honest, EVERY shoe has a flaw. _________________ *There will only be one Jordan, but there will also be one Kobe and one Lebron.*

^Well I do like em because they're LeBrons but I'm really in love in em because they're
so much better from the VI's.I'm the type of guy that'll buy any shoe that's comfortable and
fits my feet good and feels good.I mean the grip and the the support that they give me is so
much more different.I like shoes snug around my foot and I love big Air units cuz I'm
fighting a day-to-day injury with my foot ligaments. I know that AM is stiff, but it's stiff in a good
way, when I run in em it doesn't hurt at all,I mean when you wear Zoom shoes,at least in my
case at one moment my feet really start to hurt badly. That's why I stopped wearing ZK IV's
because both,Zoom and Lunarlite gave up,and the ZS II's(wich are the most uncomfortable
LeBrons to this day).I mean I might write things that look perfect but that's my opinion and
it's up to you will you decide if you agree on it or not.
But I have to admit that I was skeptical about the whole idea and concept of the shoes,
I was actually afraid. And yea it was to much to compare it to the AM09's I mean it's a running shoe,
so it just isn't on the same level. _________________

via Jason Petrie-
on the White/Navy colorway, there is 7 pieces of red flywire on the inside of the shoe to note that there the Lebron VII is indeed the 7th shoe _________________

My question is, would you play ball in them again now that the cushioning got better and the traction got better as well? | I'm going to continue to play in them for a couple more hours. In my first review (I think), I said that I'll play in them for about 10 more hours after the first wear. Yesterday was about 3.5 so I got about 2-3 more wears left in them before I decide whether they're a keeper or not. _________________ London aka I RoC JaYz23

The airbag setup was changed because the air max protects lebrons feet and body better than zoom. period. we all love zoom, it is an amazing technology, and it is great for certain things, but not everything, at least not right now. The new airbag is an engineering marvel and allows an even dispersion of forces throughout the footstrike- basically there is air everywhere with max, as opposed to zoom, which is currently uses more of a podular architecture. This new max is Nikes best current solution for #23 in regards to cushioning. Trust me, it is a completely new airbag system that is pretty incredible. Is it as soft as the AM 2009? no- its not supposed to be. You can't play real basketball in the 2009 airbag because a- it would be like playing in quicksand, b- you would be way too high off the ground, and c- there would be no torsional support, so you'd probably end up breaking or tearing something... This is a change was necessitated by feedback from Lebron himself regarding how his shoes were cushioned, and he loves the new setup. You can be assured that whatever he puts on his feet is the optimal solution for the best player on the planet, even if it does feel a little different than his shoes in the past. _________________ ooooo |
