Got another review for you guys after playing for about 3.5 hours today...
After wearing them for the second time, they definitely felt better than the first time they hit the court.
They Air Max unit in the sole softened up a little bit, but still a stiffer than I'd like them to be. I think I was correct when I said jumping up and down as much as I do would break them in a little, which is definitely good to say.
The traction has gotten better as well. You know when you have a new pair of shoes and the bottoms are too slick? That's a good comparison with these. But like the Air Max unit, the more wear they get the better they'll be, I believe. I think the more you slick them, the more bottom sole will become smooth, but in a better way to improve traction. Although they aren't anywhere near as good as I'd like them to be, the traction did improve.
As for the overall fit, they feel better as the shoe was broken in more and more which make the shoe a little more flexible. This helped a lot of how the shoe felt on my foot, although I still had to tie the shoe very tight, there was little to no slippage and was responsive. Of course the weight of the shoe isn't going to change which is unfortunate, but thats the way it is. I still wouldn't recommend the shoe for basketball, but my opinion has changed after the second time around compared to the first time wearing them.

I was playing ball today and i saw someone wearing the Lebron Vii but i had to shake my head cause the dude had a fake pair on, the color was way off and differant laces and lbj logo was painted on, it was just horrible.

^^^ nice review. Just curious if anyone has heard information on how Lebron manages his sneaker wear. I know with the 6's Lebron swapped his kicks every game, I'd assume that he too has to break in his max's right?

Yeah that is a good question. I'm not sure, but don't most players switch their shoes every game?
I Roc Jayz - great to hear a 2nd review. My question is, would you play ball in them again now that the cushioning got better and the traction got better as well? |
