I'll play... Hehehehhehe... Second page contribution...

Camera Equipment:
Canon 1Dmk2 + Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS
Canon 580EX II + Lumiquest Promax Diffuser system
Really Right Stuff B87B Portrait Package off camera system

Camera Settings:
Aperture Priority Mode (Av)
ISO @ 200
Aperture @ f/2.8 (wide open)
Shutter Speed @ 1/1000sec
Focal Length @ ~150mm

It's a tricky exposure since he's in mixed lighting (direct sunlight on his face while other parts of him are in the shade)... Using spot metering for ETTL, I switched to Av mode to balance ambient light with some fill lighting for proper exposure... Although his forehead has a little hotspot from the sun, the overall balance of illumination was great... If you look closely at his sunglasses, you can see the flash exposure... Lastly, using HSS (high speed sync) with ETTL, you can open up your aperture at its widest while contolling the amount of light coming into your image sensors... Being able to do that will give you beautiful bokeh separation while exposuring your subject thoroughly and properly... IT'S ALL ABOUT LIGHT, BABY!!! Hhehehehehhe...

- airbutchie Wink

PS. Great thread to start, Pat... I'll contribute as much as I can to this new venture... Hhhehehhehehe...

Thanks Pat... Right back-atcha bro...

Here's an old one I shot with film (converted to digital format)...

Canon AE-1 + Canon 50mm f/1.4 (MF glass)
Quantaray Externa Flash (can't remember the model #)
Kodak ISO800 rated film (from what I recall)
Aperture Priority Mode

Sorry, but I honestly can't remember the camera setting details... But from what I do recall, I used fill light (from some cheap Quantaray external flash I had at the time) to give some illumination to the couple... The sunseting sun added some nice rim light to the groom...

I use a nikon SS-600
I set it to a closer range and the lights were dimmed
I had to darken out some spots on Photoshop
