Nas Offered Presidential Position For Def Jam Records
Quote:
"Yes and no," Nas said about being offered the presidency. "I don't know what's in store for the future. I'm happy to do whatever makes sense. I would love to add on and help hip-hop, I feel Def Jam is a great label for hip-hop music but I feel they could be doing a lot more for hip-hop, that's what it's about. Obviously people they have, have their own agendas and own direction and I respect that too. I think I can add on but I don't know, at this point and time, I'm just taking it day-by-day, I'm not getting too caught up into all of that." (PunchBowl)

I wonder if Film is gonna be on the album. Nas took it back to IWW days. BTW C-Sick is gonna be a problem on the boards...

I think it's album worthy, but since D.R. is reggae-based, I doubt it. Hard to believe that kid made that beat.

I expect that both these projects are going to be awesome...and that Nas will bounce back after his last albums...

I'm kind of skeptical of the album honestly, his last 2 experimental albums have been a bit shaky. I want another straightforward Nas album over anything else.

Untitled was OK, It's not as memorable as a Nas album normally is. Only about 3 tracks still get played by me.

No Nas album is on the level of his 1st 2, except Stillmatic of course.

God's Son is probably 4th.

Stillmatic was kinda overrated to me. Hyped because of the beef with him and Jay and that help his career beef back up and become a little more relevant.

I disagree, I actually feel that Stillmatic is better than IWW. IWW got sort of weak at the end IMO.
