Guidelines for Legit Checks-
1. For a proper Legit check you need to put in as much information as possible. Links to feedback, auctions, sites, anything that will help us.
A lot of times we get posts with just a username. We don't know if this is eBay, ISS/SC, NT, AIM, etc. We need links so we can actually look at details. We also need links because most days we have a ton of checks to do. It helps us out a great deal when there are links. Especially for eBay related checks. The links also helps us check the seller's history in transaction because there are sellers that sell both fake and authentic.
2. You must have more than one picture.
Most of the time we can not do an accurate legit check with only one picture. We need to be able to see the item from multipule views to be accurate. Fake sellers have caught on to the way we do things and will try to take pictures hidding the areas we look for.
Pics to ask:
1.) Inside shoe tag pic and box tag pic
2.) Full view of the side, toe box, bottom sole and the back of the shoe
Always ask sellers for more pictures. If they can't do it for any reason, pass on that item.
3. If there are no tagged pictures, asks for them now! Do not make a post without tagged pictures. Posts without tagged pictures will be deleted on site!
"Tagged" pictures are pictures of the item with a piece of paper with a written username on it.
POSTS WITHOUT TAGGED PICTURES WILL BE DELETED!!!!!!
4. Do not ask for Legit Checks on auctions you just won.
It defeats the purpose of doing a Legit Check and can cause you a headache if your item is fake. With any auction, take time to make sure the item is legit.
5. Be patient.
All of us doing Legit Checks have lives outside of this board. If you don't get a response, it's more than likely we are doing something (like working). Your question will be answered.
We base our judgments on the pictures that are provided. If a seller provides pictures of authentic shoes, then sends fakes, we can not be held accountable for this action. Additionally, we are not responsible for any inaccurate legit checks. We do our best given the pictures that are provided. _________________ MZ3's Flickr If you want to see boring Models and sneakers.FUCKING READ SOMETHING!!! IS IT REALLY THAT HARD?!?!?!

Things to know before you buy shoes online!!!
This is for everyone, not just eBay users (even though eBay is the main focus of this post). This is infomation you need to know if you are shopping online at any website for sneakers. I will try to remember everything. If I forget something, please fell free to add on.
***eBay  ***
eBay is FULL of counterfeit sneakers. eBay does very little to nothing about it. So we have to protect ourselves.
First, look at the pictures.
This is usually the easiest way to spot fakes. If you don't know what to look for, search through the "How to spot fakes" forum. There are a ton of posts with pictures of fakes. They may not be on the first page, you might have to look farther in the forum. But it's worth the extra effort to make sure you don't get ripped off.
Pictures needed-
Tag
Profile
Sole
Pictures need to be clear. So the details of the shoes can be seen. Usually we say to also get these pics with the sellers name/username printed on paper with a pen or pencil. ***I'm going to start saying get the sellers name AND your name printed when asking for additional pics***
Never be afraid to ask the seller for more pictures. If they say no for any reason, or have any excuse(my camera doesn't work ), don't send them money.
Second, read the feedback.
This is kind of a difficult subject, as feedback has become almost useless in spotting fake sellers. These sellers are taking advantage of the fact that most people buying their shoes have no idea what a counterfeit sneaker is. This is why a seller can have a powerseller rating and sell nothing but fakes. You have to know exactly what to look for when looking at feedback. Hopefully this will help.
Try not to buy from sellers that have feedback saying they have sold fakes. Sometimes a seller will have feedback that is inaccurate, someone just trying to mess up that sellers rating. But most of the time it's true.
Look at the items sold buy the seller. It doesn't take much time to look through the feedback. If they have sold 30 pairs of black/cement Air Jordan IV's at $75 a pop, it's safe to say they are fake. If the pictures have been deleted, don't buy from them.
If their feedback is private, it's usually a bad sign. Avoid these sellers all together.
If they have bought ANY kind of wholesale list, don't even think about buying from them.
If you want to get really deep, look at what their buyers are selling. Sometimes a person will try to resell a fake after buying it from a counterfeit seller. Trying to get rid of it and/or make their money back.
Other things-
Try to avoid sellers from Asia. Not all of them are bad, but a lot sell fakes.
Try to use a Credit card when ever possible. This will help if you get fakes or just straight ripped off.
If a seller doesn't actually have the shoes, don't buy them. Sellers that are in the States and the shoes are somewhere else is a sure sign of fakes. If they say it will take more than a week for you to get them, don't buy them.
A lot of sellers will register with eBay and say they are in the states when they are actually somewhere else. People will buy the shoes, send moeny and never know where the shoes come from. Ask the seller as many questions as you can. This is good way to tell if something is up.
Use your head. If something seems to good to be true, don't jump in head first without checking it. Sometimes you can get shoes at great deals. Most of the time they are fakes.
***Websites***
You have to be careful with websites, a lot of the same people selling fakes on eBay also run sneaker sites. They know how to play their game. Pics of authentic shoes, usually at great prices.
If a site has a policies page, read it. It will usually say the shoes they sell are not authentic in some way. If they don't have a policies page, don't buy from them.
Things to look for-
Pictures- Stolen from legit sites or manufacturers sites
Rare shoes in sizes 7-13
Statements like "larger sizes run small"
Shipping time is more than a week
Colorways not available to the public (ie Kobe Jordans)
Sellers in one place, shoes in another
Also keep in mind that these guidelines are not 100% fool proof. There are people out there that read this information and use it against us. They will make their auction/site look as good as it can. Pictures of authentics with their name on them, extra pics that you ask for, 100% perfect feedback. Then you get your package in the mail and open a box of crap. There are always going to be assholes out there doing this. This is why you have to protect yourself.
The game has been changed forever. New rules where put in place because of people that use our love for sneakers against us. We are the only ones that want to put a stop to it. We have to work together. _________________ MZ3's Flickr If you want to see boring Models and sneakers.FUCKING READ SOMETHING!!! IS IT REALLY THAT HARD?!?!?!

Private legit checks list and rules.
This is the list so far of members that are taking part in this. If I missed you or you are willing to help, PM me so I can get your name on here. I would also like for each member to PM with what you feel are your specialties, what you know the most about. I have a few, but would like to have one for each member. Also, if anyone wants to be removed, let me know and I will take you off of the list.
***Rules***
The main rules is do your own legit check!
We don't want to get flooded with checks. Most of us have other responsibilities on this board and can't always take the time to do legit checks. So we need you to do a check first. If you get stuck on something, then PM one of us. Tell us what you are stuck on and we will help.
If you contact one of us and haven't done a check, it will be up to that person to decide if they want to answer you or not. Meaning if you don't check it yourself and tell us what you are stuck on, we don't have to answer you.
The next rule is you have to give us as much information as you can.
Don't PM one of us with just a user-name asking if they are legit. We need links, pictures, websites, any and as much info as you can give us. Don't forget to let us know what you are stuck on. This is so we can make a fast and accurate judgment.
Please don't have one of us do a private check then posts the check in this forum. You will basically be wasting our time.
These rules can (and probably will) change at any time.
