Ok im gonna approach a few topics which have been on my mind for a while now and that we as a group need to approach.
1. first i would like do to a roll call for all our members who are active on the board and help out in the A&P section, even if its just a little....wether contributing to threads, helping others with info or giving some good C&C in the Picture thread.
2. what is the deal with Paul?....I know its a touchy subject but i think its time we come together as a group and look passed the fact that he was the founder of our group and decide what his future as the lead of IF is going to be.....I understand we all have busy lives, but he should still manage to check in on us and let us know that he is still involved as the group's leader....if not, if its ok with the rest of the group i would like to make a petition to reassign a new group leader.
3. Once we fix the problems #1 and #2, I promise we will handing out spots to those members who have deserved them for quite sometime, but due to our leader's inactivity never get the shot.
4. Can we think of new Icons?....is it possibility?
5. Pat what would it take to have you back in our group bro?

I am here to stay, as always, haha. Prior, I have not really been helping out, not posting much, etc. But lately I've been trying to help people in advice for equipment, and whatnot. I do agree about the Paul situation. You can't be busy enough to the point where you don't check in at least once every 2 weeks or so. When he leaves, he's gone for what seems months. As for icons, I think they're decent. But, if we can come up with a better design that we all agree on, then why not? New leader, new members, new icons! New i.F!

thanx Sav and Connie for your input, im glad im not the only one that feels the same way and i really hope this remodeling takes place, Occman....i know we have promise countless recruitments with no success, but i promise that if things work out as promised and we solve the issues within our group, new members will be chosen quickly......
IiFocus is supposed to be the representing team of the A&P, but i think we need to work better as a group, although we do a great job in the informative threads, not me in particular as there are members who offer far more knowledge than me; we need to make come up with ideas together to promote our section....bring in more users, maybe set up contests like we used to, discussions about photographers...etc etc.

But I'm down for the contests idea.. Shit was pretty fun and now we've all improved even more.
And I always try my best to supply my fellow ISSers with information and such especially on the photography thread... I'll aways be here to help.

So wsup with that one thing you wanted to do, though, Elkin? About the photography services when a certain ISSer heeded headshots or was getting married or something.. Did it work out?

for ideas how about bringing in more people/get more people active in the A & P (seems more of a Photography Thread) have a weekly theme contest sort of thing or maybe photographer of the month for the previous months photos? (could possibly sticky the photographer of the month and show his works for that month?)

yes that idea sounds great, but we need a backbone, that obviously our group is lacking, we need members who will initiate threads and ideas.

New leader. We need that the most. Paul doesn't stayed posted on this site that very much. (No offense Paul if you're reading this)
IMO, the most active memebers are pretty much Kstyle &Connor
We gotta keep InFocus alive, i noticed after the Nikon vs Canon thing, a lot of people just died down and wasn't that active.
It was small games like those that inspired people to take on photography, big jump in people that join the photog thread.
Small things like these can create new members to catch on photography, whether they were inspired by our pics or something else.
I'm down for new memebers, and drop the nonactive members.
(I've gotten tons of IMs how to get inside inFocus and what it takes, etc etc.)
i think we could use new icons, but I dont mind keeping these. It has the best of both worlds right there.

Yo Yo Yo! Been out for quite some time, would it be a bad excuse to say crazy girl problems (the chick I used to take pics of) and work? Props to Elkin for putting this thread together to get everyone active again. As usual I'm still shooting but not posting, been working on this photography project for this hotel for the past week now that makes me do 8 hours shifts and it's been insane plus I start school on the 31st =(. What's everyone been up to? Hope everyone is doing well.
Mmmm back to the topic, as far as a new leader, I guess a vote would work but I do feel bad. New icons, I like our icons but if people have ideas that they are willing to contribute, it could be a possibility.
Oh and btw, does anyone know how much Canon charges for a sensor cleaning? Debating whether it's worth the time and money to send it out to them or have it done in less than a day at a local camera store that has a pretty good reputation.
