Dope job as always, i like the cw combo. The only thing that gets me is the toe cap itself, i think the omitting of the stitching and air vents on the toe cap makes em look a bit weird IMHO. The craftsmanship is superb as always, i love the extra touches as the insole tags and the hang tag. Great job as always mang.

I think what you might be noticing is the overall shape of the toe cap itself.

Where SK8-HI's usually have a much flatter toe cap these came a lot rounder than I was expecting, though I feel the shape works well overall.

Thanks for the comments.

I def noticed this part. I think you should have at least kept the signature 3 stitching lines at the top, but thats more of a personal thing. theyre still dope without it.

Sick! Love what you did with these, great execution of the intended look IMO. Nice touch with the double stitching too. I like the shaved look but you can still notice the indents of the stitching around the ankle.

Digging the nylon tongues here, I'm working with some ripstop nylon on a Sk8-Hi right now and after seeing these I can't wait to finish.

Thanks, I'm glad people are understanding the subtly of my work.

I choose to keep the inner liner of this shoe to account for some shaping issues I encountered after building it from scratch. Embarassed

The liner was ironed flat and bound to a new piece of canvas, but the weakness in the fabric combined with the cupped stitching where the mid panels meet in the rear caused the slight indentations. Also, I allowed for some slack in the nylon by pulling it in about 3/16th's when it was sewn on.

Nylon tongues are the shit, I'm looking forward to see what you've got planed.

i have a hard time commenting on these because I'm a nike head and when it comes to anything outside of the swoosh I have no idea....

but they're clean, they're simple. the inspiration is genius. mission accomplished.

they're just a personal pair for yourself right? if so (just out of curiosity) why go thru the bells and whistles of adding hang tags?

To be honest, I had left over prints and I'd probably never use them again.

But as they laid next to the shoe I figured they would allow for easier comparison in the photos along with a more "official" feel. Though, even when I make stuff for myself I do try and go that extra step.

Maybe I'm just crazy? Ninja

This is something I'd definitely buy.

Can you do the toe in any other kind of color? Like olive green/navy blue?
