Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, The Black Keys, Cold War Kids, The Smiths, Oasis, Paul Weller, Neil Young, Wolf Parade, New Order...

some stuff in the current rotation...

Highly recommend the new Kasabian Cd, Sergio Pizzorno (guitarist/songwriter) won best songwriter at the Brits this year, and their album (West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum) is number one in Europe.

Don't judge a book by its cover with Oasis, they are more then just the band that made "Wonderwall". Noel Gallagher is one of the best songwriters to write music, their first album (Definitely Maybe) was the fastest selling debut album back in the 90's, which was then overtaken by the Arctic Monkeys first album (Whatever People Say I am Thats what I am not).

Then Paul Weller and Neil Young, two of the greatest songwriters to ever live. I recommend Wildwood by Weller, and Harvest Moon by Neil Young, both great great albums.

The Smiths and New order part of the whole Manchester scene in the late 80's early 90's that helped pave the way for the explosion of britpop in the 90's.

The rest is for the indie kids.

Good topic
