Double HA! Actually, I do now. I have a show that I'm getting ready for and it will take ALL of my time from now until last week of January which is why this so not happening. And Jest will probably have no choice but to show his last pair if he is to keep to the schedule and not push anything back further. |

UPDATE: spoke to mateo and he's unable to submit a new pair. So I'll have to put up the Red Seas against mine. Clash will go on as scheduled....
personally, i'm sad because I was looking forward to this battle, and it sucks going up against a pair that will already be at a disadvantage....
it is all written in the rules, but we're all friends here and you guys all know that with the extentions and whatnots, I've given most of you guys the benefit of the doubt..... the LAST thing I wanted to do was have to reuse a pair, but that's how we'll proceed....

Very unfortunate circumstances...
Though, If you wanted to even the odds some, rather than submitting his last pair you could select his highest rated pair from previous battles (though it may be his last pair).
There is always the possibility he advances and yet again cannot supply a new pair for the finale...
I'm unfamiliar with the rules of the contest so forgive my ignorance but I vaguely remember a swap in battles before, was it not an option this round?
Anyway, can't wait to see the other entries and good luck to the remaining finalist.

you make a great point!
the way the rules are written, you take a 10% voting penalty for each round afterwards. mr.bbgambini submitted a pair in the 1st round, received a bye in the 2nd round, and submitted a pair in the 3rd round (quarterfinals).
His first round pair received 82% but would receive a 30% voting penalty in the semifinal, and his quarterfinal pair received 78% and will only received a 10% penalty. I think the fair thing to do (which is what I did) was to resubmit his quarterfinal pair.

my bad. I  too much green and short term memory is not as razor sharp as it once was

yes as of right now, everything is a go... the show goes from dec 12 - dec 26 (at least) ... idk where this 3 days came from lol... i think maybe that's when eL is flying in?
no venue set 100% BUT that should be locked down VERY soon... had some good news today and just waiting on a couple of things to come through...
semi #2 goes up friday night! (which for me is tonight!) ... shall be interesting!
getting exciting!!!!

sorry guys!!
I just got home from the carpenters where we spent all day brainstorming and creating a sample of the displays... too late for the battle to go up tonight, so i'll have it up tomorrow!
the displays will be sick!! imo...
a little costly, but well worth it... we actually made them seamless... no screws!! lol.... pretty easy to make and we developed a system to make some here in FL and make more in LA (if i need to) so I'm super psyched as to how it turned out... 100 times better than what I had imagined.... feels nice to let someone in on my brainchild and have them improve it!

lmao... nah... i'll let it be a nice surprise when I open the show ... lol... i just re-read what I wrote and I made it sound REALLY glamorous... lol... it's just a display, but I'm no professional event planner or retailer or interior designer, so this is just a big deal to me (and probably only me)...
